Cuttlefish Eco Salons in Lewes is seeking a Salon Assistant / Trainee Hairdresser to join our professional and environmentally conscious team.
We are an established eco salon committed to sustainable, ethical hairdressing practices and a high standard of client care. This position is well suited to an individual who has some prior salon experience or previous hairdressing training and is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive salon environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting stylists with the smooth running of the salon
- Shampooing, conditioning and preparing clients for services
- Supporting colour services and treatments as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional salon environment
- Providing a high level of customer service at all times
- Learning and applying eco-conscious hairdressing practices
Person Specification:
- Some previous salon experience or hairdressing training (essential)
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in hairdressing
- Professional, reliable and well-presented
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- An interest in sustainability and ethical working practices
