This role plays a critical role in delivering successful products by balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility, ensuring that the right product is built and delivered effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibilities include (but are not restricted to);

Identify, understand, apply and manage the appropriate life cycle stage for each product group.

Successfully apply product life cycle management techniques, using data analysis to make fact-based decision on product range changes and developments.

Track product group performance using KPI's and analytics and align with product life cycle stages.

Further develop and implement product identity information in the form of an ERP system friendly Product Passport document.

Ensure that each product in the portfolio has a full product passport, technical specification sheet and appropriate compliance documentation.

Support NPD activities originating from either supplier new product announcements or from customer requests.

Develop relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, building on the companies already established trading history.

Work as a cross functional link (bridge) between company supply chain and sales teams.

Support and provide collateral for events such as new product launches, trade fairs and other external events, e.g., supplier visits or trade industry events.

Manage and support product launches, via the company website, sales emails (Hubspot), and the development of relevant sales materials etc.

Ensure timely and high-quality product releases on NPD and product change notices.

Ensure that all relevant staff have product training for all new products and refresher training on existing where required.

Provide support as necessary on quality or non-compliance issues raised on the products.

Ensure that all changes to products are communicated and managed to ensure a smooth transition ensuring both company and customer change controls are respected.
REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience as a Product Manager.

Experience of working with cross-functional teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to align Product, Place, Price, Promotions.

Experience with data analysis tools is a plus

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Understanding of product management methodologies

Ability to prioritise and make data-driven decisions

Excellent time management skills.

Understanding of SAGE or similar systems

Proven competence in Regulatory and Legal requirements.

Educated to degree level and ideally with a qualification in business or a business-related topic

Advanced knowledge of computer database and of Office 365.

Also need to attend external events such as Sales Meetings, Supplier and customer visits and trade events as appropriate, some of which will require overnight stays.
