Job Title: CCTV Control Room Operator
Location: Consett
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Days and Nights available, including weekends)
About the Role
We are seeking professional, alert, and reliable CCTV Operators to support a high-profile client site in Consett. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding personnel, premises, and assets by actively monitoring surveillance systems, identifying risks, and coordinating rapid incident responses.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor multi-screen CCTV surveillance systems to maintain site security and detect suspicious activity.
- Control and track perimeter access, barriers, and secure zones via remote monitoring.
- Identify, assess, and escalate security breaches, health and safety hazards, or operational anomalies.
- Liaise directly with on-site security personnel, client management, and emergency services during incidents.
- Log, review, and safely preserve video footage and operational incident reports in full compliance with GDPR and relevant surveillance codes of practice.
- Maintain accurate daily control room logs, pass-down notes, and equipment status checks.
Requirements
- Valid SIA CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) Licence is essential.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts covering both days, nights, and rotational weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant during long shifts.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for incident reporting.
- Right to work in the UK and a 5-year checkable work/education history.
