Join AtkinsRéalis Decommissioning as a Vetting Advisor, where you will manage vetting cases end-to-end in line with organisational policies, national standards and legal requirements. You will assess suitability, provide expert guidance throughout the vetting process and ensure that all applications are processed fairly, consistently and in a timely manner, supporting AtkinsRéalis commitment to safeguarding and integrity.

Assess and process end-to-end vetting applications, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.

Liaise with applicants, internal stakeholders, and external agencies to gather and verify information.

Prepare clear, concise, and well-reasoned case notes to support case progression or closure.

Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with data protection regulations, managed across various case management systems.

Handle aftercare activities in line with UKSV policies.

Provide a consistent and high level of customer service, offering advice and guidance on vetting matters to candidates, colleagues and stakeholders.

Build strong, trusted relationships with key security personnel and HR teams

Mentor and train new team members.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of vetting processes and procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience in vetting, compliance, HR, or investigative roles.

Understanding of national vetting standards and security clearance processes.

Relevant qualifications in security, law, or public administration (desirable but not essential).
