CMD is looking for an Internal Sales & Customer Services Manager to lead our Internal Sales and Customer Services teams, ensuring exceptional service delivery while developing people, processes, and performance.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a key function within the business, leading a talented team and playing a vital role in delivering excellent customer experiences.
What You'll Be Doing
As Customer Services & Internal Sales Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop the Internal Sales and Customer Services teams.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching and support to team members.
- Act as the escalation point for customer and operational issues.
- Monitor team performance against KPIs and service standards.
- Analyse performance data and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Manage workflow and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
- Conduct appraisals, absence management, performance reviews and development planning.
- Identify challenges early and implement effective solutions.
- Promote a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards, including ISO requirements.

Essential Experience
- Experience leading sales, customer service or commercial support teams.
- A strong background within a fast-paced manufacturing, distribution or operational environment.
- Experience managing performance, KPIs and service delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, results-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
- A passion for coaching, developing and motivating teams.
Desirable
- Leadership or management qualifications (CMI, ILM or equivalent).
- Customer Service or Sales qualifications.
- Knowledge of international trade operations and procedures.
- Understanding of international trade legislation and practices.
