Fiontar Group is one of Ireland's leading independent health and safety consultancies. We work with some of Europe's largest contractors, developers and global organisations, helping them deliver complex construction and engineering projects safely and successfully.
Our clients don't come to us for generic advice. They rely on us as trusted advisors, supporting major projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a Commercial & Client Development Manager to help strengthen existing client relationships, identify new opportunities and manage the commercial journey from initial enquiry through to project mobilisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships, solving client problems and working with senior decision makers.
The Role
Working closely with the Commercial Director, you'll become the commercial lead for a portfolio of key accounts while also developing new business opportunities.
You'll be responsible for ensuring every opportunity is professionally managed from the first client conversation through to proposal, agreement and successful handover to our operations team.
You'll work with organisations ranging from local businesses to some of Europe's largest construction and technology companies, building long-term partnerships that generate repeat business.
No two days are the same. One morning you may be discussing a new project with a Commercial Director, while that afternoon you're preparing a proposal, coordinating with our consultants and identifying opportunities to expand an existing client relationship.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of strategic client accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across all levels, from Site Managers through to Directors and senior decision makers.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each client's business and identify opportunities to expand our services.
- Prepare professional proposals, quotations and commercial submissions.
- Manage opportunities through our CRM and commercial pipeline.
- Coordinate closely with our Operations team to ensure projects are mobilised efficiently.
- Act as the main commercial point of contact throughout the client journey.
- Develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals and targeted business development.
- Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions.
- Support the Commercial Director with key accounts, strategic opportunities and major bids.
- Ensure every client receives an exceptional experience from first enquiry through to project delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and takes pride in delivering outstanding client service.
You'll be commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing multiple opportunities at once.
Experience within construction, engineering, consultancy, facilities management or professional services would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in people who can demonstrate strong commercial ability and relationship management skills.
You don't need to be a health and safety expert. We'll provide the industry knowledge. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, professionalism and commercial mindset.
You'll Bring
- Experience in business development, account management or commercial management.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with operational teams.
