Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Associate / Trainee Nurse Associate to join our healthcare team.
This role is for 24 - 30 hours per week with availability to work Monday to Friday with evening work on a Monday or Tuesday.
Informal visits are encouraged.
Salary depending on experience.
Experienced HCAs who may wish to consider Nurse Associate training are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- To plan, deliver and evaluate delegated care within clear protocols
- To undertake and record a range of physicological measurements as required
- Wound care and dressings after completion of appropriate training
- Suture, clip and stitch removal
- Accurately process samples as required
- Phlebotomy
- Perform role within INR* management team after completion of appropriate training
- Deliver delegated health promotion initiatives and advice on diet, exercise, smoking & alcohol, etc.
- Administer B12 and immunisations once training completed and under appropriate guidelines
- Perform ECGs on request
- Take part in provision of minor injuries within the practice as appropriate
- Perform chaperone duties as required
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients at all times
- Perform hypertension monitoring
- Take a role in Long Term Condition reviews for patients affected by mental health and creating care plans
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of nursing principles and patient care practices
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to healthcare settings
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning within the nursing field
