Brunchello is looking for an experienced Brunch & Small Plates Chef to join our kitchen team.
We’re an independent, family-run restaurant serving breakfast and brunch during the day, followed by Italian-inspired small plates and evening dining.
This role would suit a confident chef who enjoys a varied menu, can work at pace and takes pride in producing consistently good food.
The role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking dishes across our breakfast, brunch and small plates menus
- Working confidently on your own section during busy services
- Following recipes, portion controls and presentation standards
- Keeping your section clean, organised and fully stocked
- Completing prep efficiently before service
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Following all food hygiene, allergen and food safety procedures
- Supporting the rest of the kitchen team during busy periods
- Helping with stock rotation and reducing food waste
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Communicating well with senior chefs and front-of-house staff
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen
- Is confident cooking breakfast and brunch dishes
- Can work quickly and calmly under pressure
- Has good knife skills and kitchen organisation
- Takes pride in presentation and consistency
- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Works well as part of a team
- Is comfortable following direction from senior chefs
- Has a good understanding of food hygiene and allergen procedures
Experience with Italian food, small plates, fresh pasta or brunch would be a bonus, but isn’t essential for the right person.
