Job Purpose
ADCAM Fabrications is seeking a reliable and motivated Multi-Skilled Production Operative to support a variety of manufacturing and assembly activities. The successful candidate will be involved in fitting and assembly work, drilling operations, saw work, and the operation of insert machines, ensuring products are manufactured safely, accurately, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly of fabricated components and products.
- Operate drilling equipment to produce components to specification and engineering drawings.
- Perform saw cutting operations accurately and safely.
- Set up and operate insert machines to install threaded inserts and other fastening systems.
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Report any quality, safety, or production issues to management.
- Support other departments and production activities as required.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and policies.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environment.
- Experience with fitting and assembly work.
- Experience operating drilling equipment and saws.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Desirable
- Experience operating insert machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience within a sheet metal or fabrication environment.

7:30 am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs (45 Minute Lunch)
7:30am-12:00pm Friday
6 month probation
Pay to be reviewed on successful completion of probation period.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
