We are seeking energetic and reliable drivers to join our team in Luton, specializing in 7.5-ton and 18-ton vehicle operations. Duties
- Safely operate 7.5-ton and 18-ton trucks to deliver goods across designated routes in a timely manner
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with legal standards
- Load and unload cargo with attention to proper handling, especially when working with flatbed deliveries
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery status
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other specialized equipment as required
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring professional interactions during deliveries and pickups
Requirements
- Valid driving license suitable for operating 7.5-ton or 18-ton vehicles, with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with flatbed or similar cargo handling experience
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices in commercial driving
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and securing loads on flatbeds
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with clients and team members
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings or weekends if required
- Prior experience with delivery driver roles or similar logistics positions is highly desirable
