Self-Employed Entrepreneurial Housekeeper Wanted – Bath
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, energetic self-starter to build their own housekeeping business while working with a friendly family in Bath. Experience is not essential.
Initially, you will work alongside a professional housekeeper to learn the trade before progressing to independent work, with opportunities for additional hours and responsibilities as you grow with the family.
Duties include:
Cleaning and tidying
Laundry and ironing
Occasional basic food preparation
Pet care
Household organisation
For the right candidate, the role may later develop into:
Household and garden management
Basic household administration
Hospitality support and occasional evening work (optional)
We are looking for someone with a natural sense of hospitality — someone who enjoys creating an environment that feels calm, welcoming, organised and thoughtfully cared for. You should take pride in noticing details, anticipating needs and helping a home run beautifully.
The ideal candidate will be:

Physically fit and healthy (the house has many stairs and the role is active)

Comfortable communicating in English with a good basic level of English and Maths
Possess good eyesight (with or without glasses) to spot detail
This role would particularly suit someone entrepreneurial who would enjoy turning this opportunity into the foundation of a thriving housekeeping business.

Antique furniture care
Laundry management
Ironing techniques
Pet care
Brass and silver care
Silver service and hospitality
Garden maintenance
Food hygiene and food preparation
Eco cleaning methods
Stain removal
And more
Hours
2 hours per day, Tuesday–Friday
(8 hours per week total)
Morning hours preferred.
Pay
£18 per hour.
All cleaning products, equipment and training supplied, including guidance on setting up and running your own self-employed business.
Experience is not required. Attitude, interpersonal skills, energy and drive are far more important.
