Chirk Court is a warm, welcoming residential care home in the heart of Chirk, close to the Welsh English border.
Home to older adults, including residents living with dementia, the home is designed around five smaller household-style communities. Rather than supporting many residents at once, you'll lead a team caring for around 14 residents within their own household area.
This creates a calmer, more personal environment where residents are truly known as individuals and meaningful relationships can be built every day.
We're also proud of our sensory garden, which provides a peaceful space for residents to relax, socialise and enjoy the outdoors. The garden has even received recognition from The King for the positive impact it has had on residents and the wider community.
This isn't a rushed, faceless service. We take pride in creating a place where residents feel safe and valued, families feel reassured, and colleagues genuinely support one another.
For many residents, Chirk Court is home - and the people who work here help make it feel that way every day.
No two days are the same, but you can expect to:
- Support residents with personal care in a dignified and respectful way
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Spend time talking, listening and building relationships with residents
- Notice changes in wellbeing and respond appropriately
- Help create a calm, homely environment
- Lead and support care staff on shift
- Assist with rota planning to help the team run smoothly
You'll also have the support of senior colleagues across the home, so you're never expected to manage things on your own.
We’re keen to hear from people who:
- Are genuinely caring, patient and compassionate
- Feel confident taking the lead when needed
- Understand the importance of dignity and respect in care
- Can support residents living with dementia
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Want to make a positive difference every day
You'll need one of the following, or be willing to work towards it with our support:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (NVQ/QCF/Diploma)
- Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification
- All Wales Induction Framework (or willingness to complete)
