Location: Walton Summit
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
IWS Recruit are currently recruiting for 3 Paint Shop Operatives to join a busy manufacturing and engineering environment in Walton Summit.
This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and practical individuals to join an established production team. You will be working within the paint shop, preparing components and cabinets for powder coating and ensuring finished work meets the required quality standards.
The Role
As a Paint Shop Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Following the daily production schedule
- Preparing parts for powder coating using a variety of hand tools
- Operating the Phoswash system and oven to prepare parts for powder coating
- Hanging parts securely onto racks ready for the coating process
- Assigning the correct paint colours to jobs
- Sanding and preparing cabinets for powder coating
- Masking and bunging parts as required
- Loading sprayed items into the oven
- Operating the oven safely and effectively
- Completing jobs independently and to the required standard
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the process
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
- Following all health and safety procedures and reporting any concerns or deviations
- Attending team meetings as required
- Taking an active role in continuous improvement activities
- Recommending improvements to working methods and tooling where appropriate
