Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-School Leader to oversee and manage our brand new Pre-School Provision at Red Hill Field Primary School in Narborough. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of young learners in a nurturing and stimulating environment, ensuring high standards of childcare and education are maintained. The Pre-School Leader will be responsible for guiding a team of early childhood educators, planning engaging activities, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the pre-school team to deliver high-quality childcare and educational programmes
- Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being
- Oversee daily operations, including staff and resource management
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of child development principles and nursery practices
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education (nursery experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
- Passionate about early childhood education with a caring and nurturing approach
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Pay: From £14.81 per hour
