Fabric Engineer – Monday to Friday | No Call Out | Up to £40,000

Salary: £36,000–£40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am–5:00pm
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join a professional facilities management team on a prestigious static site in Wokingham.

The Role
As a Fabric Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric maintenance across the site. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with strong all-round building maintenance experience and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance
- Complete carpentry, painting and decorating, tiling, patch repairs and general building maintenance
- Undertake basic plumbing repairs and lighting maintenance
- Support the wider engineering team with maintenance activities and small project works
- Safely receive, move and store equipment, materials and deliveries
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job documentation
- Build positive relationships with colleagues and the client
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and health and safety regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Fabric Technician, Building Maintenance Technician or similar
- A good all-round knowledge of building fabric maintenance
- Experience in carpentry, decorating, tiling and general repairs
- Basic plumbing and lighting maintenance experience is desirable
- City & Guilds, NVQ Level 1 (or equivalent) in Building Services Maintenance or a relevant trade qualification
- A positive attitude with a strong focus on quality and customer service
