Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter/Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Previous experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internships, and are suitable for those looking to build a career in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel welcome throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from customers, providing recommendations when appropriate
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Ensure tables are cleared promptly and reset for new guests
- Handle customer queries or complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues swiftly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, counters, and side stations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to deliver seamless service
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including hygiene standards and COVID-19 protocols
Skills
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently when required
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary
- Previous experience in hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and allergy awareness is desirable
