We are a small, independent baking business specialising in delicious cakes, tray bakes and other homemade treats. We supply a range of wholesale and retail customers, cater for outside events, and sell directly to customers at our Cambridge market stall.
We are looking for an experienced Baker / Pastry Chef to join our friendly team on a full-time basis at our production kitchen in Pampisford.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our cakes, tray bakes and other baked goods, helping us maintain the high standards and consistency our customers expect.
The role will suit someone who is confident working in a busy bakery environment, takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a small, hands-on independent business.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous professional baking or pastry experience
- Is confident producing cakes, tray bakes and a variety of baked goods to a consistently high standard
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in presentation
- Has a strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
- Is reliable, organised and able to manage their time effectively
- Can work independently as well as as part of a small team
- Is comfortable working to production schedules and meeting deadlines
- Understands the importance of food hygiene, cleanliness and maintaining a tidy working environment
- Is flexible and willing to get involved with the varied day-to-day requirements of a small business
