Position: Ducting / Steelwork Installation Engineer
Location: West Yorkshire but on-site nationwide
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00am to 15:30pm - overtime and weekend work available
Pay Scale: £12 - £15 per hour

CWL Engineering Ltd. is an engineering and installation business based in Barnsley, focusing on the design and installation of LEV extraction systems and various forms of steelwork. We are a small business with a positive attitude that is excited at the opportunity to bring in new people to work directly alongside the director and be apart of the development and growth of the business!
Due to increased demand and a full calendar, we are looking to recruit an installation engineer to be on site completing the installation of projects alongside our current installation team. The role will involve working as part of a team to complete a variety of installations, ranging from small single day installations to large scale long term projects.
The Role:
The installation engineer job role consists of attending site to complete the mechanical installation of projects. This will be in the LEV industry installing commercial extraction filters, and corresponding fan-sets, ducting and structural steelwork. The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced fitting teams, with the prospect of the the correct person developing in to a lead fitter in the future.
Previous experience/qualifications are desirable, however we are aware that our industry is quite niche and specific so transferrable knowledge and skills is what we are expecting. The role would be perfect for steel erectors, joiners, fabricators, mechanical pipefitters, or any construction based industry that will have transferrable on-tool experience.
Skills and knowledge required is as follows;
- Reading/working from an engineering drawing.
- Competent in the use of hand/power tools.
- Structural loading and bracketry of mechanical pipework.
- Structural steel erecting.
- Competent and safe lifting, slinging and loading.
- Understanding of safe working practices in line with CDM Site Regulations.
CWL Engineering completes projects nationwide, and there will be a requirement for national travel and occasional overnight stays.
Due to the nature of our business, and the sites we work on, it is a requirement that you be 18 or older.

- IPAF Licence
- PASMA Card
- Confined Spaces Training
