We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join our lovely team at The Old Farmhouse Residential Care Home in Canterbury, Kent.
This vacancy is for 3 x 7 hour shifts per week which will include alternate weekend working and 30 minutes unpaid break per shift (19.5 hour contract) .
Hours of shift are 8am to 3pm .
rate of pay is at the age related national minimum wage and all breaks are unpaid.
Attention to detail is required to ensure the home provides a high standard of hygiene throughout, in order to minimise risk of infection.

Responsibilities
- To implement regular and thorough cleaning programmes and to keep accurate records of same
- To promote Health and Safety
- To work in a safe and tidy manner reporting any repairs or maintenance needed within the Home
- To work as part of a team
- To be aware of the Home’s Policies and to carry them out
- To be aware of the need to promote the Control of Infection
- To carry out COSHH regulations and instructions according to the data information
- To help with laundry duties
- To respect the Residents property To be polite, caring and understanding of the Residents
- To be hospitable and courteous to any Visitors to the Home
- To be aware of the need for confidentiality
- To behave in a professional and orderly manner
- To be aware of the need to report to the Manager any issues of safety throughout the Home whether it be the fabric of the home or in relation to the clients well being.
- To document accurately and clearly all records of work
Pay: £12.71 per hour
