Key Responsibilities Church Engagement (Priority)
- Maintain and develop relationships with local churches that support the work of EFFB through donations, volunteering and advocacy.
- Book and deliver public addresses to congregations and groups within church settings.
- Increase awareness of food insecurity within church communities and encourage practical responses.
- Support churches in understanding how to signpost and refer people to EFFB where appropriate.
- Build relationships with church leaders across the district.
- Maintain an accurate database of church contacts.
School Engagement (Priority)
- Maintain and develop relationships with local schools.
- Deliver assemblies, presentations and awareness sessions for pupils and staff.
- Encourage school fundraising, food collections and volunteering opportunities.
- Support schools in making referrals for vulnerable children and families.
- Maintain an accurate database of school contacts.
Volunteer Support
- Recruit and Manage a network of Church based volunteers to act as advocates for the Foodbank within their communities
- Coordinate volunteers supporting community engagement activities.
Community Partnerships (Limited)
- Respond to enquiries from businesses and community organisations.
- Maintain existing business relationships where possible and pursue new opportunities as capacity allows.
- Maintain and develop relationships with community partners, such cub scout groups, athletics clubs
Stakeholder Engagement (As Required)
- Maintain contact with local councillors, MPs and relevant stakeholders where opportunities arise.
- Support organisational campaigns or consultations when requested.
- Assist with local media opportunities where appropriate.
General Duties
- Attend staff meetings and provide regular updates to the Director.
- Assist Foodbank operations during periods of exceptional demand.
- Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the role.
Pay: £29,000.00 per year
