Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our creative team 2 days a week, Wednesday and Thursday. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering specialty coffee, and high quality customer service. Previous experience is essential, however further training will be provided if needed. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold espresso based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards.
- Operate La Marzocco coffee machines, Mahlkönig grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including cleaning utensils and equipment regularly.
- Serve customers with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring their orders are accurate and timely.
- Manage register transactions accurately.
- Uphold food safety standards at all times, adhering to hygiene protocols.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed.
- Engage with customers to enhance their experience, fostering a friendly environment.
Skills
- Experience as a Speciality Barista is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
