About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in reducing health and employment inequalities across Brighton & Hove. Working across a complex partnership landscape, you will ensure high-quality programme deliver and support the integration of services helping residents to manage and address health and employment barriers.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the programme, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and quality standards. You will lead and line manage a team to work and health coaches, develop effective referral pathways, oversee programme performance and reporting, and work closely with health partners, employers, community organisations and council services to integrate employment and health interventions.
You will:

Have experience leading or managing employment, health or integrated support programmes.
- Have a strong understanding of work and health policy and the barriers faced by people experiencing health inequalities.
- Be experienced in leading staff and creating and facilitating multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services.
- Be confident managing performance, compliance, reporting and programme outcomes.
- Have experience of building and influencing relationships and working in partnership with health services, employers, community organisations and other stakeholders.
- Be skilled at using data and insight to drive service improvement and inform decision-making.
- Be committed to person-centred, strengths-based and inclusive approaches.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

We are a workplace that supports flexibility and employee wellbeing in the way we work whilst providing the best service for our customers. Team and service working arrangements are designed to support both employee work life balance and team collaboration. These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
