Thorverton Stone are seeking to recruit permanent full time Concrete Production Assistant making concrete products at our site based near Upton Pyne, Exeter.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company working in the manufacturing of precast cast stone and concrete products.
Main duties include:
Operating in a busy production facility and working on a production line to ensure the timely and efficient manufacture of product, requiring enthusiastic applicants who enjoy working in a manufacturing environment and working as part of a team.
Due to the nature of the job some heavy lifting is required.
Applicants who have fork lift experience would be advantageous to the team.
Hours of work are:
07:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday including breaks.
Occasional Saturday mornings and overtime will be offered as and when required and during busy periods. This will be paid at a time and a half rate.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
Competitive hourly rate of pay dependent on skills, knowledge and experience.
Start rate: £13.00 per hour - during initial 3 month training period.
£13.25 per hour - after successful initial training. Both rates are offered independent of age.
Holiday entitlement:
20 days plus statutory bank holidays.
No experience is needed, as full training will be provided - but we do need reliable, committed, hard-working candidates who can organise their own transport due to rural location.
