We're recruiting for x2 experienced CNC Laser Operators to join a well-established and growing precision sheet metal fabrication business based near Long Eaton!
This is a hands-on production role where you'll be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machinery, producing high-quality components to engineering drawings and production requirements.
You'll join a busy manufacturing environment with modern equipment, ongoing development opportunities and a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
This role is commutable from Long Eaton, Nottingham, Derby, Beeston, Ilkeston, Stapleford, Castle Donington, Loughborough and surrounding areas.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What you'll be doing
- Set up and operate laser cutting machinery
- Load and unload materials
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Carry out machine adjustments and set-ups
- Inspect finished components using measuring equipment
- Monitor quality and machine performance
- Complete production paperwork and records
- Carry out basic machine maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Hours
40 hours per week – rotating 3-shift pattern
Pay
£32,000 - £36,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
*Monthly pay
*Enhanced overtime pay (time ½ & double time)
Skills / Experience Required
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience using verniers, micrometers or gauges
- Good attention to detail and quality awareness
- Good problem-solving skills
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
