We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care, promoting independence, and enhancing the well-being of clients. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support with meal preparation and light household chores to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment
- Help clients adhere to their personalised care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Accompany clients on outings or appointments as required, utilising driving skills where applicable
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to relevant professionals
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a secure environment for both clients and staff
Skills
- Valid driving licence and access to your own car are required
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable
- Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen attentively and convey information clearly
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
