121 in the Community is an activity / support service based in Southport. We support up to 40 adults per day from the Sefton area, who have a learning disability / physical disability / autism. The aim of our service is to provide meaningful activity in the centre, and access the local community.
The role includes supporting personal care, a wide range of activities both in the centre and local community (swimming, gym, bowling, sport, arts and crafts, IT, self help skills etc)
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with interests in engaging with and suppoting our service users. with emphasis on excellent communication, empathy, a desire to support community engagement, personal care and developing individuals to reach their true potential. Whilst previous experience is desired it is not essential as getting a person with the right attitude is key.
Full support and training will be provided ongoing and all staff will be working alongside colleagues who have a wealth of knowledge and experience.
A full driving licence would be an asset and the ability to drive small mini buses and people carriers
All applicants will be required to complete an application form, attend an in person interview and complete a DBS (paid for by the company)
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
