Are you an experienced, solutions-focused professional with a passion for preventing homelessness and supporting individuals in custody to successfully resettle on release? This could be the role for you.
We are working on behalf of a leading rehabilitation and resettlement charity, delivering housing-led support across South Wales. This is a split-site role, working across Swansea and Bridgend supporting individuals to secure safe and sustainable accommodation on release.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering 1-2-1 housing support to individuals in custody across both sites
- Completing housing needs assessments and developing structured action plans
- Working closely with prison staff, probation services and housing providers
- Sourcing suitable private rented sector accommodation to support release planning
- Supporting individuals to overcome housing barriers and prepare for independent living
What we’re looking for:
- Strong understanding of housing legislation and welfare benefits
- Experience supporting adults with complex needs, offending backgrounds or multiple disadvantage
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Strong partnership working and communication skills
- Own transport preferred due to travel between sites
Requirements: Ideally HMPPS Level 1 vetting or willingness to undergo vetting
