Job Overview
Bespoke Career Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join a busy manufacturing plant in Norton Canes. This is a 3 month contract offering £15.00 per hour, working day shifts within a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment.
This role would suit a confident FLT Driver, Counterbalance Driver, Sideloader Driver, Materials Handler, Yard Operative, or Manufacturing Operative who has experience moving large, heavy, and high value products safely.
As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for moving large stillages and high value fabrications around a busy production site. You must be an experienced and confident FLT operator with strong awareness of health and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating a Counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently
- Moving large stillages around the manufacturing plant
- Handling high value fabrications with care and attention
- Loading, unloading, and relocating materials as required
- Supporting production areas with material movement
- Carrying out daily FLT checks
- Working safely in a busy factory and manufacturing environment
- Following all site health and safety procedures
Skills and Experience Required
- Valid and in date Counterbalance FLT licence is essential
- Sideloader licence or Sideloader experience would be an advantage
- Previous experience working as an FLT Driver in manufacturing, engineering, production, or industrial environments
- Confident moving large, heavy, or high value items
- Reliable, safety conscious, and able to work as part of a busy team
- Good attention to detail when handling fabrications and stillages
