The Role
The Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational performance, commercial success, and continuous improvement across the business.
You'll work closely with senior leadership and venue teams to translate strategy into action.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role. While systems, planning and projects form part of the position, success comes from spending time in the business, understanding the realities of service, supporting leaders, and identifying opportunities first-hand.
You'll be expected to roll your sleeves up, remain highly visible across the operation, and lead improvements through action rather than observation. This isn’t a desk only job.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Develop and maintain operational systems that support growth.
- Drive consistency across all venues.
- Lead operational projects and business improvements.
- Ensure compliance, health & safety and food safety standards.
Team Development
- Coach and support site leadership teams.
- Develop management capability throughout the business.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership and growth.
Commercial & Performance Management
- Analyse operational and financial performance across the business.
- Drive improvements in sales, profitability, labour productivity and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimisation.
- Support site leaders to understand key business metrics and take ownership of results.
- Build reporting and accountability structures that drive performance.
- Ensure operational decisions support long-term commercial success.
Continuous Improvement
- Challenge existing ways of working.
- Seek opportunities to improve customer experience and team effectiveness.
- Build scalable systems that support future growth.
