Accommodation Assistant (Full Time)

Hours: 40 hours per week
Reporting to: Accommodation Manager
About the Role
dwell Student Living provides high-quality accommodation to thousands of students across our global portfolio. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Accommodation Assistant to join our team in Manchester.
As the first point of contact for our residents, visitors and contractors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive living experience for our students. You will be the face of the dwell brand, helping to ensure our residents receive exceptional service throughout their stay.
This is a varied, front-facing role that combines customer service, administration and operational support. Working closely with the site team, you will help maintain high standards across the property while supporting the day-to-day running of the accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Reception
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience for residents, visitors and prospective tenants.
- Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries, both in person and via phone or email.
- Ensure the reception area remains welcoming, organised and professional at all times.
- Conduct property viewings and provide information to prospective residents.
Administration & Financial Support
- Process resident payments and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with monitoring rent accounts and supporting arrears management processes.
- Complete administrative tasks efficiently and accurately using Microsoft Office applications.
- Maintain resident records and update relevant systems as required.
Property & Resident Support
- Assist with room and apartment inspections when required.
- Support the management of parcel deliveries and collections for residents.
- Work collaboratively with the wider accommodation team to resolve resident queries and issues.
- Help ensure the property remains safe, compliant and well-presented.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within student accommodation, hospitality, residential lettings or property management.
- Knowledge of StarRez or similar accommodation management systems.
