Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages. WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS ESSENTIAL
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections, providing friendly and efficient service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces regularly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, milk, cups, and other ingredients.
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Uphold brand standards in appearance, behaviour, and service delivery at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing role within the food service industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent organisational skills with effective time management to handle peak periods smoothly.
- A friendly demeanour coupled with professionalism and reliability.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required.
