Jaxdene Solutions have won a new contract and are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Curtainsider & Container Drivers for work in Ipswich. We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
- Secure cargo appropriately on containers, ensuring safe transport throughout the journey.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status.
- Follow all road safety laws and company policies during transportation activities.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any maintenance needs to the relevant department.

Experience
- Experience in commercial driving, particularly within curtainsider & container work.
- Prior delivery driver experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and time management.
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for cargo securement on curtainsider & container experience .
- Ability to operate heavy vehicles confidently and responsibly over long distances or in urban environments.
