Duties
- Receive, load, unload, and store incoming shipments using forklifts and manual handling techniques
- Operate our stock management system to track inventory levels, stock movements, and order processing
- Pick and pack items accurately for outgoing shipments, ensuring timely delivery to clients or sites
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records to prevent discrepancies
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by preparing documentation and coordinating with transport providers
- Handle materials safely using mechanical knowledge and proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries
- Maintain a clean, organised warehouse environment by stocking shelves and disposing of packaging waste appropriately
Experience
- Proven experience working in a warehouse or storage environment with familiarity in stock management and materials handling
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand equipment operation and perform basic repairs if needed
- Experience in construction or heavy industry environments is desirable but not essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards
- Prior experience with shipping & receiving processes, including load & unload procedures
