Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable sub contractor Ground Worker/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Assist with site clearance, including removing debris and preparing work areas for construction activities
- Support the delivery and movement of materials around the site using manual handling techniques or basic equipment
- Help with setting up safety barriers, signage, and temporary structures to maintain a secure work zone
- Carry out general labour tasks such as digging, trenching, mixing materials, and loading/unloading supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of the site by disposing of waste and ensuring tools and equipment are organized and safe
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and promote a secure working environment
- Support skilled tradespeople by providing assistance as needed throughout various phases of construction projects
- Must be able to drive to get to and from sites.
Skills
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
- Ability to operate basic tools and equipment safely; prior experience is a plus but not required
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs
- Attention to detail to ensure safety standards are maintained at all times
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a positive work attitude
Pay: £15.76-£22.49 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
