Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House/Barista to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with company standards
- Assist with food preparation, including assembling light snacks or baked goods as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including counters, tables, and display cases
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and process payments efficiently
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritising customer needs while maintaining quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Basic food preparation skills for assembling simple menu items
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent time management to ensure prompt service and minimise wait times
- Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills and a professional attitude
