Were looking for a Multimedia Assistant to join our Communications, Marketing and Design team, helping to create engaging content that showcases the positive impact of our services, celebrates success stories and reaches audiences across a range of digital and print platforms.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Youll be part of a supportive Communications, Marketing and Design team within Children and Young Peoples Services, producing and promoting content that highlights services, activities and outcomes across County Durham.
In this varied and hands-on role, you will capture photography and video content at events, training sessions and service activities, create social media assets, and carry out basic editing for use across websites, social media and marketing materials. Youll also support website updates, help maintain digital content libraries, gather case studies and success stories, and assist with the delivery of marketing campaigns and events.
The role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in multimedia content creation while contributing to meaningful work that supports learners, providers and communities across the county.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
Youll need a Level 2 qualification in photography or a related subject, or relevant practical experience, together with English and Mathematics at Level 2 (or equivalent experience).
Were looking for someone who has experience creating digital content, including photography, video and social media content, alongside experience filming and editing short videos and using digital platforms such as websites and social media channels.
You should have good IT skills, strong written and visual communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people to gather stories, interviews and positive experiences. Youll also be able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently when attending events and activities across the county.
