Salary: £28,000 per annum FTE

DHA - The Derby Law Centre, provides specialist Debt advice and Housing advice, advocacy and court representation, and we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Debt Advisor.
You will provide a high-quality specialist Debt advice service to individuals and families on all aspects of priority and non-priority debts. You will provide financial skills to assist with the preparation of budgets, planning & financial statements to ensure income maximisation, and advise on liaising with creditors to negotiate affordable repayment plans.
The ideal candidate for the position will have:
- A minimum of 6 months specialist working knowledge of legislation and case law relating to Debt advice.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
- An ability to deliver Money Management workshops;
- An ability to deal with people in difficult and pressurised situations;
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines and targets;
- A full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
