We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and dedicated full-time Veterinary Receptionist AND Veterinary Care Assistant to join our supportive team on a permanent basis, working 5 days a week of varying shift patterns 8:30am-4pm/5:30pm/7pm with a 1:8 Saturday morning rota.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer-service skills, a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide outstanding care in a fast-paced veterinary environment. We are looking for someone who can offer the most welcoming feel as clients enter the practice, maintain a composed and structured mindset when working under pressure, can efficiently multi-task and supports their colleagues as a committed team player. This customer-facing role will include client care responsibilities, reception-based duties, administration tasks, hygiene and infection control, stock control and some animal care duties.
The Veterinary Receptionist vacancy involves working primarily at our Hailsham surgery whilst the Veterinary Care Assistant vacancy involves working across all 3 surgeries (Hailsham, Stone Cross and Goffs/Eastbourne), however flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes is required.

PLEASE NOTE: frequently we are overwhelmed with applicants wanting to start in veterinary with a hope for an opportunity to receive nurse training - this has been fantastic to see and whilst we do offer nurse training we are now at full capacity with students and training plans in place for the next 5 years so cannot accommodate any more at this time. Whilst this role does include some animal care duties, if you are ONLY wanting to join to receive nurse training then this role is not going to be suitable for that reason. Therefore when applying please be mindful that we are seeking an individual who can whole-heartedly and confidently focus on client care responsibilities and deliver a high standard front-of-house service.

You will work 40.6 hours per week across 5 weekdays, 8:30am-4pm/5:30/7pm Mondays to Fridays, with 1:8 Saturday mornings 8:30am-1:30pm at Hailsham surgery.
