Inverclyde Association for Mental are looking to recruit a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team where you will be working within our integrated services across our residential unit and Housing Support Services.
IAMH provides support to individuals experiencing long and enduring mental illness which may also include other complex needs such as drug and/or alcohol addictions. As part of this rewarding but at times challenging role you will be required to;

- Promote a person‑centred ethos and encourage independence at every opportunity to enable individuals to reach their full potential.
- Provide quality support services ensuring that IAMH values of dignity, respect and equality are upheld.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties include:
- Creating and updating dynamic risk assessments and support plans tailored to individual goals.
- On-going monitoring and assessment
- Maintaining accurate records in line with organisational policies and legal requirements
- Supporting individuals with daily living skills, wellbeing, routines, and community engagement.
- Using therapeutic de‑escalation approaches and responding calmly to emotional or Behavioural challenges.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary way with outside agencies and maintaining a professional approach
- Encouraging participation in meaningful activities and constructive social interactions.

Requirements of the role:
- Registration with SSSC - initial joining fee paid by Employer
- Enhanced Disclosure Scotland and member of PVG Scheme - paid by employer
- Sleepover shifts and Weekend Working
- Lone Working
- Flexibility with shift working - 9 - 4.30pm/11-6.30pm on day shifts
- Undertaking of any training requirements
The salary for this full-time role is £24,279 with additional payments of £102 for each sleepover.
Salary increases after successful 6 months probation then a further increase after 2 years service.
Annual leave allowance of 28 days plus 12 public holidays.
