Overview:
We are currently seeking a temporary Care Assistant with a view to becoming permanent staff, to join our team in providing compassionate care to individuals in a residential care setting.
Duties:
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Follow care plans and ensure all tasks are completed as outlined
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families
- Keep accurate records of care provided
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents
Qualifications:
- Proficient IT skills for record keeping and communication
- Ability to follow and implement care plans effectively
- Good command of English for clear communication with residents and staff
- Experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents
