Buddies Clubs and Services is a well-established, professional organisation situated in the West of Glasgow. Buddies term time Nursery is looking to employ an Nursery Assistant who is passionate about delivering high quality early learning and childcare.
You should have a positive and enthusiastic nature, be able to work as part of a team, be creative and willing to support and extend children's learning and life skills. We want to hear from candidates who are responsible, dedicated and who take pride in helping children reach their fullest potential.
We would prefer candidates have the minimum qualification SVQ Level 2 Social Services Children and Young People or equivalent but are willing to accept applications from individuals without qualifications. There will be an expectation to achieve a qualification. You will preferably have experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a nursery environment and have practical experience working with the Curriculum for Excellence and Pre-Birth to Three.
The shift pattern will be 08:30-16:00 (35 hours) Monday-Friday.
We provide a comprehensive induction and training programme. Continuous Professional Development training is also encouraged.
You will be required to complete a Protecting Vulnerable Group Scheme (PVG) application and be able to provide two satisfactory references prior to starting this post. The postholder will be required to register with the SSSC upon commencing work, if not already registered. A company pension scheme is available.
