Due to increasing demand within our client’s projects, we are seeking Project Planners to support critical energy transition programmes across the UK. You’ll join a collaborative and high-performing team delivering complex, high-value infrastructure and energy projects in Manchester.

As a Planner, you’ll play a central role in developing and managing integrated schedules, identifying key risks, and driving performance insights that enable successful project delivery.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
Establish baselines, WBS, and planning frameworks across major programmes
Conduct critical path and schedule risk analysis; model 'what-if' scenarios
Track progress and performance using Excel , Power BI , and earned value metrics
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy
Present reports, S-curves, and dashboards to support informed decision-making
Lead planning assurance and governance aligned with NEC/FIDIC contracts
Mentor junior planners and support capability development within the team
Provide planning expertise to integrated project controls environments
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience in planning major energy, nuclear or utilities projects
Proficiency with Primavera P6 , MS Project , Excel , and performance dashboards
Knowledge of EVM , critical path method (CPM), and risk-based planning techniques
Familiarity with contract frameworks such as NEC
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
Experience in regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, oil & gas, utilities) is advantageous
Eligible to work in the UK and travel to client sites as needed
