Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care to adults with mental health challenges. This role involves working across day, sleep in shifts and night shifts, offering essential support to promote their wellbeing, development, and independence. The successful candidate will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing environment tailored to each individual's needs. Duties
- Provide personalised support to individuals, assisting with daily activities and personal routines
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with families, colleagues, and other professionals
- Support adults in engaging with educational, recreational, and social activities to promote their development
- Assist with transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or activities as required
- Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and any changes in health or wellbeing accurately and confidentially
- Foster a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies at all times
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, colleagues, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support
- Maintain a clean, organised environment that encourages independence and comfort for the children
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with complex mental health challenges and learning disabilities is desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with service users, families, and team members
- Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties
- Empathy, patience, and resilience are essential qualities for supporting vulnerable adults
- Organised approach to managing daily routines whilst maintaining flexibility for shift work (days and nights)
