Kitchen Porter – The Engine Room, Poundbury Garden Centre Café
We are looking for two hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porters to join our team in a very busy Garden Centre Café.
The role will include:
- Washing pots, pans, crockery and kitchen equipment.
- Moving stock to and from the stock rooms.
- Keeping the kitchen and equipment clean and organised.
- Supporting the Chef and Front of House team when required.
- Helping to keep the café running smoothly during very busy periods.
Working days & hours:
- Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 10am–6pm
- Sunday: 10am–5pm
- Flexibility to cover additional days when required would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to work independently and use their own initiative.
- Have a positive, hardworking attitude.
- Be reliable, organised and a good team player.
- Be comfortable working in a very busy café.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
