The Gables is a CQC registered care home for up to 5 people with Learning Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Conditions and complex needs in Bideford.
We are seeking a female Support Worker
We aim to provide a person led service, offering support with personal care, independent living skills (in house and community based) and to provide a safe and homely environment for each person. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to provide exceptional assistance and support to individuals in in their home. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for people by delivering personalized care with professionalism and empathy. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team environment.
Duties
- Supporting young adults with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing cleaning duties
- Document care activities accurately, adhering to healthcare standards and protocols
- Provide emotional support to individuals, fostering a caring environment
- Cover sleeping in shifts.
Requirements
- Prior experience in care homes, assisted living, or home & community care preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, behaviours that challenge highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Must be reliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.

· Start pay £13.40ph - £14.00ph, with additional pay for sleep ins.

- Shifts are 0800-1500 / 1500-2200 with some flexibility and working alternate weekends.

Pay: £13.40-£14.00 per hour
