Fishmore Hall Hotel is looking for a passionate and reliable Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team.
This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys creating fresh, quality breakfast dishes and takes pride in delivering a great start to our guests' day.
The position will initially be 20 hours per week, working 5 days a week from 7:00am to 11:00am. As trade increases, there will be the opportunity for additional hours and further work within the kitchen, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking for the potential to increase their hours over time.
The Role
As Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering breakfast service to our hotel guests, maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard
- Preparing mise en place for breakfast service
- Cooking both traditional and contemporary breakfast dishes
- Ensuring breakfast service runs smoothly and efficiently
- Maintaining excellent food presentation and portion control
- Following food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Monitoring food quality and freshness
- Working closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Minimising waste and maintaining good stock control
- Contributing ideas and suggestions to improve our breakfast offering
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a professional kitchen
- Is confident cooking breakfast and egg dishes
- Takes pride in producing good-quality food
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
- Can work independently and manage a breakfast service confidently
- Has good attention to detail
- Understands the importance of food hygiene and safety
- Is reliable, punctual and well organised
- Enjoys working in a busy hotel environment
A relevant food hygiene qualification would be advantageous, although experience and the right attitude are equally important.
