Llandudno Hostel is a very clean and vibrant tourist bunk bed accommodation provider.
Fast changing of bunk beds is essential for this role. Llandudno Hostel has 50 beds split across 10 bedrooms, although we rarely have this many beds to change each day! It is common to have 10-23 bunk beds to change each per day. You will work as part of a team to achieve rapid results.
Housekeeping/General Assistant you will report directly to the Deputy Manager or in his absence the Duty Manager. Pay scale is dependent upon age, it will be above minimum wage for age group. Hours vary depending on work needs, work shifts will be given until the end of October.
You will be responsible for:
- Housekeeping: Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, hoovering, dusting, cleaning mirrors .
- Changing bunk beds
- Replenishing complimentary tea/coffee trays
- Changing bunk beds
- Laundry (stain removal, washing, hanging out, bringing in) and roller ironing
- Checking in guests if required
- Answering telephone and taking messages when required
Qualities and desirable experience we are looking for:
- Positive team player
- Trustworthy, punctual and reliable (we need commitment to the shifts - we're not a huge team)
- Ideally some background cleaning and housekeeping
- Fluent English essential for responding to telephone enquiries
- Physically fit (we have 4 floors and quite a few stairs)
- Hard-working (we have multiple bunk-beds you will be helping to change)
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
***Hours are typically between 10-2 or 10-3 up to 5 days per week, but possibility of extra hours 3-5 or 5-7pm if you are available for later shifts
