BACP operate a hybrid working policy, the post holder will be required to attend BACP House in Lutterworth 1 day per week.
Purpose
Working closely with the Chief Operatting Officer, BACP's Head of People & Culture will lead the delivery of BACP's People and Culture services and programmes, ensuring the organisation has effective people practices, workforce capability, organisational development support and a positive employee experience that enables delivery of BACP's strategic objectives.
Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Executive Team and Heads of Service, the role provides professional People and Culture expertise, advice and operational leadership across workforce planning, employee relations, organisational development, employee experience and people services. The role is responsible for implementing agreed People and Culture priorities, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, policies and best practice, and delivering effective, efficient and customer-focused services.
Accountabilities

Lead the development and delivery of BACP's People and Culture Strategy, ensuring it supports the organisation's strategic business plan, values, workforce requirements and long-term sustainability.

Partner with the Chief Operating Officer, Executive Team and Heads of Service to provide strategic people leadership and deliver organisational objectives through effective workforce planning, organisational design and people initiatives.

Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture, promoting employee engagement, wellbeing, belonging and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Lead, develop and inspire the People and Culture and Facilities teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient and customer-focused services.

Ensure BACP maintains compliance with employment legislation, regulatory requirements and people management best practice, providing assurance, expert guidance and risk management support to leaders and managers.

Lead organisational development, workforce planning and change initiatives that enhance organisational capability, management effectiveness and workforce sustainability, ensuring BACP has the skills, capacity and structure required to deliver its strategic objectives.

Lead the development and continuous improvement of People and Culture policies, processes, systems and services, ensuring they are effective, accessible and aligned to organisational needs.

Oversee the delivery of all People and Culture services across the employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive and inclusive employee experience from recruitment through to development, retention and exit.

Use people data, insight and workforce analytics to inform decision-making, measure organisational performance and drive continuous improvement.

Manage the People and Culture and Facilities budgets and key external partnerships, ensuring effective governance, value for money and delivery of organisational priorities.
Oversee facilities, health and safety and related support services, ensuring safe, compliant and effective working environments for employees.
Knowledge and Experience

Proven experience in a senior HR or People leadership role.

Experience of leading a People and Culture function and delivering people strategies aligned to organisational objectives.

Experience of leading organisational change, workforce planning and organisational development initiatives.

Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations and HR best practice.

Experience of developing and leading high-performing teams.

Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility at senior level.

Strong strategic planning, programme delivery and project management skills.

Experience of managing budgets, resources and external partnerships.

Ability to use people data, insight and evidence to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

CIPD Level 7 qualified, or equivalent experience.
