About us
Lloyd Specialist Developments is an established classic car servicing, tuning and upgrades business based in Warminster, Wiltshire. For over 17 years we’ve looked after a wide range of classic and performance cars for an enthusiastic and far-reaching customer base, with a particular reputation for Rover V8 engine tuning.
As a family run business, we pride ourselves on our stability and honesty, as well as being open, loyal, caring and enjoying our work!
The opportunity
We are looking for a Parts Coordinator to take ownership of the parts function in the business. This is a new full-time role created to professionalise an area of the business that has, until now, been managed alongside other duties by the Director. With the Director’s help and guidance, the successful applicant will take ownership of the parts function and have the opportunity to shape how it operates.
You will be the person who makes sure the right parts are in the right place at the right time, properly tracked against each job.
If you’re organised, computer-literate, and like the idea of making a real difference to a small yet ambitious family run business whilst working around interesting cars every day, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Source and order parts for customer jobs; both routine servicing items and specialist components (including rare and difficult to source components).
- Receiving deliveries, checking them in, and assigning them to the right job.
- Working closely with the mechanics and tuner to stay ahead of what they need.
- Assisting with the parts element of customer work estimates.
- Tracking every part against the job it belongs to, so we know what each job is really making.
- Helping us develop and refine our parts tracking system (using Excel, Sage, Microsoft Forms, etc).
- Handling warranty returns.
- Packaging and posting product sales, including occasional international shipments.
- Managing our shelf stock of consumables and fixings.
What we’re looking for
We’re genuinely open on background. The right person could be coming from another garage or parts department, from a completely different industry, or returning to work after a break. What matters is:
- You’re organised and good with detail.
- You’re highly competent with computers and happy to both learn and implement new systems.
- You communicate clearly; in person, on the phone, and in writing.
- You have some basic knowledge of car parts.
- You can work on your own initiative — spot what needs doing and get on with it.
- You’re honest, reliable, and easy to work with.
- You’re eligible to work in the UK.
An interest in classic or performance cars is a bonus but not essential. Previous parts experience is welcome but not required — we can train the right person.
What we offer
- £27,000 – £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Full-time, 39.5 hours per week, on-site, with friendly colleagues.
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
- On the job training.
- Pension scheme.
- Company logo workwear.
- Free parking.
- The chance to shape a brand-new role in an established business.
Working Hours
Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm, and Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with one hour for lunch each day.
