We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff/Assistant Manager to join our independent business and team in providing exceptional service to our guests. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving beverages, and ensuring that all patrons have an enjoyable experience. Your role will involve not only bartending but also assisting with food preparation and maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area. The ideal candidate must have a proven history of bar management/cellar management. Live in available, flexbile hours available to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent guest services, including upselling drinks and menu items.
- Assist in food preparation as required, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and effective communication during busy periods.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Skills
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly rapport with customers.
- Experience in food preparation and knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for processing payments accurately.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
